Xiaomi Redmi sold out in Singapore within 8 minutes

Xiaomi Redmi SingaporeWhen the Xiaomi Redmi was first released in China, 100,000 units was quickly sold out within 2 minutes. When it hits Taiwan, 10,000 units were sold out within 10 minutes. Same things happen when it arrives in Singapore – all units were sold out within 8 minutes according to Xiaomi Singapore.

“Dear Mi fans, we’re sold out for #Redmi – in just eight minutes! As this is the first time we’re selling in Singapore, we wanted to learn more about the market behaviour, sales reaction, and optimise our business processes (e-commerce, logistics, customer support).

What’s interesting is that Redmi is only the first Android smartphone released by Xiaomi in Singapore and it already received such great response from the people there. Of course this will pose a threat to Apple, Samsung and HTC which are currently dominating Singapore’s smartphone market.

Let’s wait and see which country will the Redmi be heading next!
